Solange Knowles Wedding News, Update: Ceremony to Take Place This Weekend
Solange Knowles is now set to be betrothed to her longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson in an intimate wedding ceremony in New Orleans this coming weekend, according to reports.
The 28-year-old singer will be tying the knot with the video director in their New Orleans home where they shared together with her son Julez, 10.
Although the couple has been trying to keep everything under wraps, the Us Weekly magazine managed to obtain some essential details about the weekend nuptial schedule.
"The group will enjoy a movie night together before Saturday's rehearsal dinner," the magazine wrote. "Then on Sunday, Nov. 16, Knowles and Ferguson will make it official in front of friends and family."
The 51-year-old Ferguson has been close to the Knowles family. For a number of times, he collaborated not only with Beyonce but also with her husband, Jay-Z, in directing their music videos. ("Feelin' It" and "Who You Wit" with the rapper and "Party" with the songstress).
This will be the second time that the "Losing You" singer will be married. Solange was married at the age of 17 to Daniel Smith, Julez's father. In 2007, she confirmed with Essence magazine that she and Smith were already divorced and still shares parenting duties with their son.
Her big sister and brother-in-law got married off the media's radar in 2004. If the rumored nuptial schedule could be true, then fans might have to wait weeks or months before evidence of the ceremony will be made public.
