Steam Publisher Weekend Sale Brings Discounts for Activision Franchises

This weekend will be a big one for gamers who want to get their hands on a "Call of Duty" game. Online retailer Steam is having another publisher weekend sale, this time featuring popular game franchises published by Activision. According to a report in Tech Times, the "Call of Duty" franchise is in the center of the sale.

The latest game released for the series, "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is on sale with a 40 percent discount off, now only on sale for $35.99. There are bigger discounts for older games such "Black Ops I" and "Black Ops II" which is available for more than 50 percent off. Other "Call of Duty" entries such as "Advanced Warfare" and "Ghosts" are likewise on sale. Older games in the franchise such as "Call of Duty 2,""Modern Warfare 1 and 2" can be bought for only $9.99 each title.

Other franchises are also on sale such as the game series, "Transformers: Cybertron," with the title "Transformers: War for Cybertron" on sale for only $4.99, which is 75 percent off the original price. The sequel of the game can be bought for only $12.49. The recently released "Transformers: Devastation" is also available at a 50 percent discount for only $24.99.

Aside from these popular franchises, there are also notable titles on sale, such as the old-school adventure game "King's Quest" and the skating game "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD." Western shooter "Gun" is also on sale for only $4.99. A report in GameSpot has the complete list of games included in the sale.

For superhero fans, "The Amazing Spider-Man" series and the new game "Deadpool" are also included in the sale, as well as "The Legend of Korra." In summary, almost all of the games on sale are PC games made by Activision. The Activision Weekend Sale on Steam will last until Sunday.
