Taylor Swift and Charles Zhang Chaoyang Dating Rumors: Founder of Sohu Denies Reports

Taylor Swift is once again at the center of dating rumors. Recently, speculations that the American singer-songwriter has been getting cozy with the founder and CEO of Sohu, Charles Zhang Chaoyang, have been making rounds on the internet.

There are unconfirmed allegations that have surfaced on the Chinese microblogging site, Weibo, claiming that "America's number one singer" is going out with a Chinese tech tycoon who is fluent in English. Since Swift is one of the most popular American singers in China, many are quick to assume that she is the singer being referred to in the rumor.

Meanwhile, the guy in question was first thought to be Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun, however, he was immediately crossed off the list because he doesn't speak English very well. Chaoyang, on the other hand, seems to fit the description perfectly.

If the rumors were true, the "Wildest Dreams" singer might soon be humming a song about a new love. But is Swift really dating the billionaire who is way older than her?

According to South China Morning Post, the 52-year-old founder of Sohu has recently addressed the issue. In a livestream video hosted by his company, he debunked the claims that he and Swift were seeing each other.

Chaoyang said the claims are pure gossips, and that he prefers to date Chinese women. "I don't even know who Taylor Swift is," he explained in an effort to defend himself against the unfounded rumors.

His statement, however, did not sit well with the Tay Tay fans, who think Chaoyang's comments are offensive and uncalled for. According to Stuff.co.nz, there are those who said that Chaoyang has offended not only Swift's fans but all foreign women as well. Another commenter even said, "It's not as if Taylor would be interested in him."

In spite of the negative reactions and the media frenzy, Swift has not commented yet on the issue.
