Teen Mom 2 Briana DeJesus News: Mom Roxanne Diagnosed With Lupus

"Teen Mom 2" star Briana DeJesus faces another drama at home, as her mother Roxanne confirmed that she has been diagnosed with lupus.

Roxanne turned to Twitter to confirm that she has the incurable autoimmune disease after going through a series of blood tests. "They weren't kidding when they said it takes series of test to be diagnosed with lupus," Roxanne stated in the caption of a photo showing a lot of blood samples that were extracted from her. "Thankful and grateful that I'm feeling so much better."

Briana also reposted the same tweet on her own account.

By definition, lupus is known as a systemic autoimmune disease that stemmed from the attack of the body's immune system against the healthy tissues and organs. It can cause inflammation in different body system such as the skin, the joints, blood cells, kidneys, heart, and lungs.

Fans of the "Teen Mom 2" series could recognize Roxanne since she would occasionally appear in the reality show. She is known for having a good relationship with Briana and her other daughter Brittany.

Roxanne is also known for confronting Briana's second baby daddy Luis Hernandez after learning that he cheated on her. "You know, being that you was a little bit older, I was kind of expecting a little bit more from you," Roxanne told Hernandez in a statement what was reported by People. "And I'm sorry that I put that pressure on you, because that was not my intent, but the truth of the fact is, I expected a lot more from you."

Briana and Hernandez had a five-month-old daughter Stella, and her six-year-old daughter Nova was born as a result of her former relationship with Devoin Austin.

At the moment, Briana is dating Kailyn Lowry's ex Javi Marroquin. The two are currently speculated to be expecting their own child together, but Briana reportedly clarified on Twitter that she is not yet pregnant.
