'The Affair' Season 2 Episode 6 Spoilers – Alison Doubts Her Relationship With Noah
The next episode of "The Affair" Season 2 has Noah and Helen's son, Martin, hospitalized for his stomach ailment that could turn out fatal. Helen argues with her mother, Margaret, over custody of the children. Alison grows unsure of her relationship with Noah and plans to stay with her mother.
In the previous episodes, Alison seemed to bear the brunt of Noah's teenage daughter Whitney's anger. Plus, Alison also could not take the treatment Yvonne and Robert were giving her at the Hudson lake cottage.
Then she also discovers that Noah has used their affair and written explicitly about their relationship in his novel, Descent.'

All these things lead Alison to turn to Cole, her ex-husband. Alison furthers complicates the situation by sleeping with Cole. In this episode, will she confess to Noah about her meeting with Cole?
The most pressing event seems to be Martin's ongoing stomach problems. In the earlier episodes, Margaret overlooks these symptoms as stress due to Noah and Helen's impending divorce. But a horrible bout in the previous episode will lead to Martin being hospitalized. Is his stomach ailment something more dangerous?
Two promos for the episode has been released by Showtime. In one of the promos which is titled "Very Sick," Helen and Margaret are arguing as Helen tells her snobbish mother that she and Noah have agreed to share custody of the kids. Margaret tells Helen that it is not a good idea. Helen gets angry at her mother and says that she will not listen to her any further as listening to Margaret dismissing Martin's stomach aches had almost turned fatal.
In another promo titled "We can be together," Noah tells Allison that his divorce has been finalized and they can now live together again. Hearing this, Allison doesn't seem happy. She tells an anxious Noah that she is not sure of their relationship as they didn't see each other for a period of six weeks. Noah is very surprised and disappointed when Alison tells him that she has given up on them as a couple.
