'The Bastard Executioner' episode 3 spoilers and pilot episode recap: Wilkin becomes the new executioner

In the upcoming episode of "The Bastard Executioner" titled "Effigy/Ddelw," it will focus on Wilkin Brattle's new life as the executioner of Castle Ventris. The synopsis reads, Wilkin will be forced to carry out his duties as the new executioner when an unlikely suspect is charged with treason.

In the preview for the episode, the viewers can expect it to be gory and blood filled. It would seem that Wilkin is being haunted by his dead wife, and as he talks to Amora, he asks her if she can see his demons as well since she could see his angels. It also seems that Wilkin is at odds with many people in the castle.

The previous episode began with Wilkin as he woke up from a nightmare. He dreamt of his bloody past and how he was saved by a mysterious angel who told him to give up the sword. Then, his very pregnant wife came in and told him to do his chores. He chased her around the village and then he gave her a kiss.
