'The Bastard Executioner' episode 4 spoilers and episode 3 recap: Lady Love shows compassion

In the upcoming episode of "The Bastard Executioner" entitled "A Hunger/Newyn," the synopsis reads, Lady Love heads to Windsor to hear the fate of Ventrishire from King Edward II. Back at Castle Ventris, Baron Pryce visits Milus and company.

In the promo for the episode, it would seem that things will be getting worse since the people of Ventrishire will face famine as the food supply runs low. The formerly corrupt county is now being run by the sweet Lady Love, the wife of the late and evil Ventris.

In the preview for the episode, it shows some great shots of Annora and The Dark Mute as they continue to see the future and what will happen. The promo video does not give much to the viewers but just shows even more bloodshed in Wilkin's continuing quest for revenge.

In the previous episode, it began with Nora coaching Wilk on cutting flesh by using animals. She described the differences between human and animal flesh. Lady Love was done mourning her dead husband and she now wants color.

Nora asked Wilk why he was not more curious about her healing. She touched him and she saw Wilk's past. The Dark Mute inquired about Wilk after he left. Wilk met up with some of the rebels on the road.

A group of rebels attacked a convoy bringing the effigy of Lady Love's husband. The soldiers had captured a young girl named Nia, and Milus wanted her to be killed on the spot. But Lady Love wanted to talk to her.

Wilk and the other soldiers were tasked with torturing the young girl, and when Lady Love arrived, the girl's fingernail had been cut off. Lady Love went with a convoy to see the girl's family and she offered up a trade that was denied.

Wilk saw an image of his dead wife while he talked to Lady Love. The episode ends with Wilk as he cut off the nose of Nia, who was being punished.

"The Bastard Executioner" airs every Tuesday on FX.
