'The Flash' Season 2 News, Update: Writers Are Back to Work, Fans Should Expect 'Lots of Fun Stuff'
While fans are busy discussing among themselves about what the next chapter of the hit superhero TV drama series "The Flash" would tackle next, a recent update coming from the show's writers came in this week.
The writers of the series are now back into action to pen the script for the show's upcoming Season 2.
"First day back in the writers room. Lots of fun stuff. Bring it on, Season 2! #TheFlash," the social media post from the Flash crew reads.
Although details about Season 2 are still scarce, several members of the cast gave in some hints. For one, there's Grant Gustin, the actor who plays the titular character, who informed the people from BuzzFeed about the show getting more loyal to its source material.
"There are no scripts yet, but [the producers have] broken the second season to me and it's going to be amazing," the actor told International Business Times.
"It's going to be even more comic book-y, which is fun, and it's going to go in the direction I want to go with Barry, which is a little more confident and cocky with his powers," he continued.
Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg meanwhile told The Hollywood Reporter about bringing in different speedsters which would probably include the very first Flash superhero, Jay Garrick.
"We are going to introduce a few more speedsters next year and a bunch more villains. How they and those villains come about is part of the surprise of season two. We're really excited," he said.
"The Flash" Season 2 is slated to premiere this fall 2015.
