'The Flash' Season 3 Updates: Two New Villains Will Be Introduced In Flashpoint; Barry Allen Will Battle A Psychological Warfare

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be dealing with big villains in the third season of "The Flash". Savitar and Dr. Alchemy come to the Central City, and this time, it will not only be about being the fastest man alive, but the psychological effect these villains will have towards Flash as well.

Psychological Warfare

In a report, executive producers Todd and Aaron Helbing shared how the new villains will impact Barry psychologically. Aaron noted that everything is about psychological warfare. Todd added that Savitar is different from the previous villains. He also stated that they are working on how Savitar and Dr. Alchemy will co-exist as villains in the upcoming season.

Flash has been fighting with several villains in the previous seasons. He was also able to showcase his abilities while fighting them. Season 3 will have a new dynamic in fighting the main villains. But even if there are going to be more villains in the show, Flash will still have his sense of fun.

As the seasons moved along, the show became darker up until the second season. Todd explained that they are looking to go back to Season 1. Even if there is going to be a lighter tone to the show, it will still give fans a more powerful story.

More Villains to Come

Another villain will also be part of the third season; he is a forensic expert who will always be working on what Barry is good at. The relationship between Barry and Julian Dorn (Tom Felton) will be a new and dynamic one. Dorn knows a lot about Barry, while Barry does not know him at all. This will be a challenge for Barry since he doesn't have an idea what Dorn may be up to.

Savitar and Dr. Alchemy will have Barry Allen busy in Season 3. Aside from them, there are also other villains who will be introduced to the show. Violett Beane is rumored to play Jesse Chambers after being spotted in a Jesse Quick costume for this season. However, this still has to be officially confirmed.

Kid Flash will also be part of the show, especially on Flashpoint, since the show will go back in time when Barry was still younger. Flashpoint will give Barry the means to change the future. He will be going back to a time when his parents were still with him. This will also give him the chance to alter the death of his mother.

"The Flash" Season 3 will be back on October 4, 2016.
