'The Last Witch Hunter' spoilers: Vin Diesel plays lead role with his idol Michael Caine
"The Last Witch Hunter" is an upcoming supernatural action film that will be directed by Breck Eisner and it will star Vin Diesel as an immortal witch hunter named Kaulder. The plot of the movie is about an immortal witch hunter tasked with the job of coming between the covens of New York City and their goal to destroy humanity by way of a horrific plague. In order to accomplish this, he must partner up with a beautiful female witch, something he thought he would never do.
The film also stars Rose Leslie as Chloe, the female witch who helps him; Michael Caine as Father Dolan; and Elijah Wood as the 37th Dolan, who also helps him. Julie Engelbrecht will play the witch queen.
The movie is based on a script written by Cory Goodman, who also wrote the script for the movie "Priest." Diesel plays an ageless warrior whose mission is to save the planet from the most powerful and evil witches who ever walked the Earth. He had defeated and killed the Queen of the Witches in the ancient times. The wicked witch cursed him that he may never reunite with his loved ones in the afterlife through immortality. He is the last of his kind, living all the way up through the present times.

Diesel also stated that it was his ambition ever since he was a child to work with veteran and seasoned actor Michael Caine, and that working with him is a dream come true. "It has been my ambition to work with him since I was a child. I am a little loopy right now. I have been working with my hero," the actor said.
The trailer for the film is definitely action packed and it gives the people a lot of information. Kaulder's immortality has made him the greatest warrior ever seen, and he will embark on a new journey while training a young man to take his place. Kaulder will even enter a dream-driven landscape.
"The Last Witch Hunter" will hit theaters on Oct. 23.
