'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers, Latest News: Who Will Say Goodbye in 'Nothing Gold Can Stay'?

CBS' hit crime procedural drama TV series "The Mentalist" is already drawing near towards the end of its final season 7. But long before the show will take its bow, one recurring character in the scripted drama might be saying goodbye.

A report from The Christian Times indicated that actress Josie Loren's Agent Michelle Vega may die in the upcoming episode titled "Nothing Gold Can Stay."

According to the site, the rookie will tag along with Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and his team to capture an unsuspecting bartender who is in fact a middle-man for a big time gun smuggling group. As the situation escalates, Officer Vega will be shot to her demise and this will consequently affect the CBI consultant.

In light with the tragic events, Jane will reconsider the notion of being in the law enforcement agency in which one's life is being laid on the line.

The publication, nonetheless noted that it is still not unconfirmed if Agent Vega "will really die" in the episode's gun fight scene. However, the actress was absent from the set during the show's filming for its last segment titled "White Orchids" which is scheduled to air this February 18.

For the meantime, a synopsis for episode 10 was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

"Jane takes extreme measures as the team tries to apprehend a deadly gang of armored car robbers before their desperation to remain free costs more innocent people their lives."

"The Mentalist" Final Season 7 airs every Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
