'The Strain' season 2 episode 11 spoilers and episode 10 recap: Will Dutch die?

In the upcoming episode of "The Strain" titled "Dead End," the synopsis reads, Gus helps the Guptas get across the border; Fet, Nora, and Eph look all over the city for Dutch, who's in a life-or-death struggle with Eichhorst; Setrakian meets a familiar face while searching for the Occido Lumen.

In the promo for the episode, Setrakian tells Fonescu that the fate of the world is literally and figuratively in your hands since he is in possession of the Occido Lumen, the book that Setrakian believes can actually stop the Master. Will Fonescu help Setrakian or does he have other more sinister plans for the book?

The previous episode began with Eph and Dutch as they set up a device in a building that is directly across the street from Palmer's office. Meanwhile, Justine met with some wealthy residents and she spoke to them about her SSI team working on better safety measures for their part of town.

Elsewhere, Setrakian, Nora, and Fet were still looking for the Occido Lumen by searching the phone book for every R Fonescu. Setrakian told Nora and Fet that the book is cursed and that it brings death and disaster to anyone who reads it.

Palmer visited his ex-girlfriend Coco and he begged her to take him back. She went back to his office with him. The office was being monitored by Eph and Dutch. Palmer got a visit from the Mayor who begged him to talk Justine into giving up her plan. Palmer agreed as he named a time and place.

Justine has taken questions from the crowd. Palmer arrived at the scene and Eph struggled to get a clean shot. Coco got shot instead as Eph and Dutch are taken into custody by the police.

Eph and Dutch were locked in a cell together, while Coco was saved by the Master forcing an alliance. Dutch is dragged away, while Eph is rescued by Nora and Fet after a horde of vampires killed all the guards.
The episode ends with Dutch chained up in Eichorst's feeding room as a pulley pulled her toward the menacing blade of death.
