Tokyo Game Show 2017: All Details From Sony's PlayStation Conference
The biggest gaming expo in Japan has just concluded and in keeping with tradition, Sony had some big announcements to make at the event. Encompassing everything that the publisher has to offer, the announcements ranged from new games, game releases, and of course hardware news.
First off is arguably the biggest reveal at the event, a new game from Square Enix called "Left Alive," a survival action shooter set in a dark and gritty futuristic world directed by "Armored Core" director Toshifumi Nabeshima.
Another big reveal at the event was the release date of Capcom's "Monster Hunter World." The game will come in a number of special editions and of course, bonuses for those who pre-order the game which will be available starting Sept. 20. A trailer for the game was also released at the event.
It was also revealed that Square Enix's "Final Fantasy IX" will make its way to the PS4 complete with new HD cutscenes and character models. In addition to the standard game, the PlayStation 4 version also includes a trophy support and auto-save functionality and seven "booster" features such as high-speed mode and the option to turn off random encounters.
Sony also announced that "Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner" will be remastered for PS4. The remastered version also includes full virtual reality support and will be released along "Anubis: Zone of the Enders – Mars" in spring 2018 in Japan.
The cat collecting sim "Neko Atsume" was also announced for PlayStation VR. While details were a little bit lacking, the game expected to arrive on the platform next year.
Finally, there was "Dragon's Crown Pro" was officially unveiled for the PS4. The upgraded version of the action role-playing game will have feature 4K support and will be released in Japan in January 2018.
