It was Portugal's first major trophy and despite leaving the game early due to a sustained knee injury, Ronaldo's spirit was ever present throughout the game.
According to a report, Antoine Griezmann already considers Cristiano Ronaldo as deserving the Ballon d'Or award. That's a good educated opinion since many wouldn't argue that Ronaldo is undeserving of such recognition after he helped his team, Real Madrid, win the Champions League and helped lead Portugal through the Euro 2016 to end the tournament with the highest glory.
