'Total Recall' Trailer Creates Online Frenzy (VIDEO)

Columbia Pictures has released the full trailer of "Total Recall" online this week, stirring movie enthusiasts everywhere.

Colin Ferrell portrays Doug Quaid in the remake film alongside star actresses Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel. The Len Wiseman-directed movie follows Quaid, who is suspected by the nation states of Euromerica and New Shanghai of being a spy.

Twitter users have taken to the site expressing their reactions to the film's trailer.

"New 'Total Recall' trailer was awesome-awesome-awesome-awesome-Biel-awesome-awesome," wrote Alec.

The original 1990 version of "Total Recall" starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. Many movie goers harbored doubts that a remake film would do well in the box office.

"They're remaking Total Recall w/ Colin Farrell as the character Arnold Schwarzenegger originally played," posted Darnell. "Do not mess this up Colin."

"OK, Total Recall looks more awesome than I thought it would," admitted Twitter user HP.

"Total Recall trailer looks better than I expected," wrote Chris. "Don't know about Colin Ferrell in that role but I'll check it out."

"So I wasn't looking forward to Total Recall because it was a remake, that has changed," posted Stephen.

Beckinsale proves to be a strong villain in the trailer for the the sci-fi thriller remake. She and Biel have appeared in action movies with fight scenes before, but Biel recently reveled that she and her British co-star were extra careful with one another while shooting "Total Recall."

"Kate and I usually fight men in movies, and when you knock into a man, he doesn't care," said Biel speaking to W magazine. "But every two seconds, Kate and I were saying, 'I'm sorry- are you OK?' We were both so nervous about fighting another woman."

The actress continued to explain how strange their caution on the film's set was, "because I have no problem fighting with a guy. In truth, I like doing anything that requires breaking a sweat," said Biel.

"Total Recall" hits theaters August 3.
