The film's plot is about a former special-operations mercenary named Frank Martin who is living a less perilous lifestyle than he had previously, transporting classified packages for questionable people. However, he finds himself thrust into danger again when prostitute Anna and her accomplices Gina, Maria, and Qiao orchestrate a bank robbery and kidnap Martin's father to confront and kill Arkady Karasov, a human trafficker who had victimized Anna years earlier.

The cast is relatively unknown since Ed Skrein is the most notable member. Joining Skrein in the movie is Ray Stevenson as Frank Martin Sr., Loan Chabanol as Anna, Gabriella Wright as Gina, and Radivoje Bukvić as Arkady Karasov.

The trailer for the new film has been slammed by some critics as they cannot help but compare it to the original movie that starred Jason Staham. Add to that the fact that there is severe product placement for Audi in the trailer.

The reviews have been lackluster with some critics even calling it a B-movie that is super charmless. The reboot is for a franchise that nobody really cared about. The movie has pretty much the same setup as the original.

The film was produced by Luc Besson who also produced the original movie. It is directed by Camille Delemarre and it was written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, alongside Besson.

The plot was confusing as hell and the story made no sense at all. The fight scenes were cut way too fast. The movie was set amid the sex trafficking scene of Europe. The chemistry between Skrein and his leading lady was very iffy and a little awkward.

Transporter Refueled is in theaters now.
