UFC on FOX 20: New Bouts Added to July 23rd Event in Chicago

The UFC will be heading back to Chicago on July 23rd, as they hold UFC on FOX 20 at the Untied Center in Chicago.

While the company has yet to announce the card's headliner, the fight card has already begun to shape up. According to a report by MMA Fighting, the UFC has added a strawweight fight featuring Felice Herrig and Kalin Curran.

Herrig, a former Invicta FC fighter and the Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Season 20 alum, last saw action in April 2015 at UFC on FOX 15, where she faced rising star Paige VanZant. Herrig lost the fight via unanimous decision.

She did win in her UFC debut against Lisa Ellis via second round submission last December 2014, at the TUF 20 Finale.

The 25-year old Curran also got to face VanZant during her UFC debut last November 2014 at UFC Fight Night 57. Unfortunately, she lost the fight via third round technical knockout.

She went on to lose her next fight against Alex Chambers at UFC Fight Night 65 in May of last year via third round submission, but was able to pick up her first victory in the Octagon against Emily Kagan at UFC Fight Night 80 via second round submission.

In another report by MMA Junkie, other fighters on the roster will be making their respective returns. Number 15-ranked light heavyweight fighter Ryan LaFlare will be taking on his first fight of the year, as he faces Alexander Yakovlev.

Mixed martial arts veteran welterweight George Sullivan will also be part of the card, as he faces Hector Ubina. The 35-year old fighter last saw action in January against LaFlare's upcoming opponent Alexander Yakovlev, and lost via first round knockout.

Also on the card is lightweight fighter James Moontasri, who is looking to continue with his winnig streak, as he faces Alex Oliveira. Meanwhile, Brazilian heavyweight Luis Henrique is hoping to bounce back from his recent loss during his UFC debut last December, as he takes on Dmitry Smolyakov.
