'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' Expansion Clip Shows Chloe's Puzzle-Solving Abilities

Men have always dominated even the world of video games, in which most protagonists are mostly males. In Naughty Dog's standalone expansion "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," however, fan-favorite Chloe Frazer and her ally Nadine Ross take center stage, showing females deserve a spot in the limelight.

In the latest cinematic trailer, Nadine and Chloe are seen traveling by river to the whereabouts of the legendary Tusk of Ganesh. While the two argue, Chloe figures out the machinations of a certain relic in her hands that they presume may be a key of some sort, leading them to where they should be.

In observation, obviously Naughty Dog has done it again. The graphics, facial animation and plot are all on point, making the whole experience believable, as if watching an actual animated film.

Aside from that, this short clip shows exactly how cunning and sharp Chloe is. With careful scrutiny over the tiny object and connecting dots based on figures and Hinduism, she was able to establish a path for them to take, bringing them closer to their goal.

If anything, this brings Chloe to another level of being a fan favorite. Her deductive thinking and personality coupled with the life-like imagery is set to make the title another renowned game. The expansion has surely picked the protagonist well, making one say, "Eat your heart out Indiana Jones, there's a new Sherriff in town."

In related news, creative director Shaun Escayg announced in Naughty Dog's official website that the expansion will be available on Aug. 22 and priced at $39.99. Purchase of the content will also provide access to "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" multiplayer and survival modes.

For those who wish to preorder in participating retailers, a digital copy of "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" for PlayStation 4 (PS4) will also be awarded, a PlayStation 2 (PS2) classic that will be brought back into the current-generation console.

It will only be a matter of time until "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" arrives exclusively to the PS4.
