Upcoming Android Phones 2015: Oppo R5 Successor's Alleged Specs Promises Quality And Affordability
A couple of years back, Oppo made headlines in the smartphone world when it announced a device that had a swivel camera, the Oppo N1. The phone's design allowed the camera to be turned from the back to the front, and to various angles as well.
Unfortunately, in spite of the high quality of handsets that Oppo announces, it does not seem to gain enough traction to be relevant in the Android market both in its homeland and the international market.
However, it seems a rumored handset could turn things around in Oppo's favor.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the specs of an upcoming Android phone for 2015 have been leaked. Dubbed as the Oppo R5s, it is the successor of the popular Android midranger, the R5.
Just like any successor, the R5s boasts better specs than its older sibling. These improvements include more RAM and double the internal memory. The Oppo R5s boasts a 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 615 chipset that supports 64-bit applications, and a 32GB built-in storage that cannot be expanded.
Other notable specs of the device include a 13MP primary camera that is made by Sony, and there is a 5MP selfie shooter as well, whose aperture is f/2.0, which is pretty decent. The R5s would also pack an 'ultra-thin' design of only 4.85mm thick, which is aesthetically impressive, given the device's stylish and metal-like frame. The device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and skinned by the company's Color OS 2.0.
Unfortunately, an Android midranger smartphone that costs below $250 will have to make some sacrifices. In the Oppo R5s' case, it only has a slim 2,000mAh battery which shouldn't be able to last an entire day on a single charge.
In the report, the phone's older sibling did not fare well in battery endurance tests, which means it may share the same predicament.
The unannounced Oppo device has appeared on the company's European website, but was listed as 'out of stock'.
