Upcoming Asus Phones 2015: New Pegasus 2 Plus X550 Unveiled With 13MP/8MP Camera Combo, 5.5-Inch 1080p Display
This year is definitely the break out year for Taiwanese phone maker Asus, who have rocked the mobile industry after introducing the ZenFone 2 lineup of devices.
In spite the huge success of the ZenFone 2 editions in markets where they have been made available, Asus is still thinking of other ways to target other market groups.
And so in a report by GSM Arena, the Taiwan-based manufacturer has recently announced a new device during the Chinese exhibition event this weekend.
Dubbed as the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus X550, the Android-powered smartphone will not necessarily take you to new and greater heights. It is a high-level midranger that will definitely an option for consumers who want to get quality devices at affordable prices.
In the report,the Pegasus 2 Plus X550 packs a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 615 chipset that supports 64-bit applications, and a 3,030mAh battery.
The camera department packs a decent 13MP primary shooter, which is good for a midranger. However, Asus decided to improve things a bit by putting an 8MP selfie shooter in front.
Rounding up the specs sheet include dual-SIM support, and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Unfortunately, there are no details yet about availability outside of China.
