'Vampire Diaries' Season 7 spoilers, plot news: Will New Season have Stefan and Caroline falling in love and having a vampire baby?
In Season 7 of "The Vampire Diaries," fans are expecting the relationship between Stefan and Caroline to go further and end with them becoming a couple. It has been reported that Candice Accola, who plays Caroline, is pregnant in real life so her pregnancy could be weaved into the storyline. Speculations have emerged that Stefan and Caroline might have a whirlwind courtship with Caroline getting pregnant and 'Steroline' having a vampire baby.
Fans are keen to know how Stefan will try to win over Caroline. Caroline knows that Stefan has feelings for her. But right now, she is in no mood for romance and a relationship, especially since she's still grieving over the death of her mother and also dealing with the aftermath of her subsequent killing spree.
Stefan knows what Caroline has gone through. He will try to win Caroline over by being his usual self. He will have to prove to her that they can have a future together.
Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan, told TV Line, "He's going to be sort of the same loving guy he's been for the past six seasons." He said that his character would be willing to wait for her, but for the meantime, he's there as a friend.
Caroline is in that phase in her life where she wants time to heal. After her killing rampage, Caroline wants to put her life together and deal with the going-ons at Mystic Falls. Caroline likes Stefan but is not ready for a relationship yet. But the attraction cannot be denied.
Executive Producer Caroline Dries told TVGuide, "Because there's constantly life and death stakes thrown at them, they're thrust together in a storyline. So as much as much as there's chaos around her, every time she looks at Stefan, she gets butterflies. But it's only a matter of time before it's like… 'You make me happy.' So, we'll see them get together soon."
It is possible that Stefan and Caroline will fall in love immediately and since Candice Accola, who plays Caroline, is actually pregnant, 'Steroline' can have a vampire baby although no such announcement has been made. An amused Candice told told E! Online. "I think with vamp speed, that would definitely help with diaper changes. I don't know if they'd compel a baby not to cry? I don't know if that's cool for vampire parents to do."
