While searching around, he encountered an attacker who mistook him for a nomad. He was then questioned about the Wayward Pines, like who was in charge. It was then revealed that there was a nomad who was sent by Pilcher to retrieve information about the time. After that, the two of them got on good terms and decided to build a campfire.

As they got to know each other, Xander then realized that he wanted to head back home already. Fans have been looking forward to the return of Xander, played by Josh Helman. However, it was teased that he will not be the only character returning to the upcoming episodes of "Wayward Pines" season 2.

Who Else Is Coming Back?

It was also confirmed that Tim Griffin will be back to reprise his role as Adam Hassler. However, during an interview with iDigitalTimes, Griffins explained that fans will encounter a new side to adam when he returns to "Wayward Pines."

Fans saw Hassler in "Wayward Pines" season 1 episode 9. However, now that 12 years has passed, fans will see his return as a changed individual. He said, "It's not gone so well ... Here it is 12 years later and I make my return. I'm completely changed. I've gone mountain man like Leo DiCaprio in 'The Revenant.' I haven't made contact with anyone in 12 years. It's a total mind trip. What's really fun is we shoot flashbacks so you can see what I look like back when I'm the head of the Secret Service--very clean cut and by the book."

He also stated that this return has been long overdue. It was initially meant to be for the season 1 finale. However, after several rewrites for the finale episode, the storyline got pushed back into the second season. Nevertheless, fans will get to experience his intriguing storyline.

He said, "Basically everything they promised me in Season 1 is happening in Season 2. I was sort of set up for it, but I was completely unprepared for how extreme the change would be."
