Whitney Houston Fans Express Love Through Social Media

With the passing of one of the greatest singers of our generation thousands young and old took to social media to express their sorrow and offer support to the many lives that are trying to cope with the untimely loss of Whitney Houston.

Houston was adored by fans all over the world who would pack arenas and venues just to get a listen of her angelic voice.

As news spread about the shocking death of Houston at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday, mourners took to Twitter and Facebook to show their support and offer a few conciliatory words.

There were countless words of support thought the internet and social media for Houston, her daughter and her family.

Houston was one of the best-selling female artists of all time.

Her list of awards includes two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards, which were among a total of 415 career awards as of 2010.

During her career Houston sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide.
