Windows 10 Creators Update Gets a Fix For Game Stuttering Problem

First released back in April, the Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update was something that the gaming community has been looking forward to since it was first announced. However, upon release, the Creators Update ended up inciting a thread of constant complaints from the gamers after they experienced poor performance from the release. Recent reports have revealed that Microsoft is finally getting around to fixing the issue.

"We've been reviewing the traces and have identified an issue that we believe is the cause of stuttering in some of the cases that you've reported," said Microsoft's support engineer Paul Aaron in a statement. "We have a fix in the Windows Insider build that flighted to the "Fast" ring this week (build 16273 and above). If you are already an Insider please test it with any app or game you're having this problem with and let us know how it goes."

The Windows 10 Creators Update was marketed as something that is equipped with Game Mode, which is meant to improve gameplay on PC. However, it seems that the gaming community experiences the opposite as reports of stuttering and frames per second drops started appearing in several community forums. Although some found that disabling Xbox Game DVR feature resolves the issue, the temporary solution did not work for everyone.

It took a few months of silence from the tech company, but the fix that was rolled out is expected to solve the problem. The gaming community is expecting to finally see why the Game Mode was advertised as one of the highlights for the Windows 10 Creators Update. Furthermore, fans have also expressed that Microsoft needs to work on providing a prompt response, especially when it comes to their releases.

Given that the patch was recently released, it remains to be seen whether it worked or not. Regardless, fans are glad to see that Microsoft began addressing the issue.
