WWE 2016 Rumors: The Undertaker's Last Match at WrestleMania; Kevin Owens in the Picture?

In the WWE, few wrestlers had survived over the three past eras and still managed to become through all of them. Chris Jericho was a key part of the Attitude Era, as well as the Ruthless Aggression and PG Eras. Even at the dawn of the New Era, he had evolved into one of his best characters in his long, illustrious career.

One other man, and possibly one even greater than Jericho, made it through all three and experienced a taste of the New Era. The Undertaker had reinvented himself over and over—from Paul Bearer's mercenary to the American Badass character, all the way to becoming the Deadman he is now.

At 51 and with his body catching up to him, the Phenom might be ready to hang his hat, but as is tradition for legends like him, one final match must take place on the grandest stage of them all.

One last 'Mania

What better way to highlight the first WrestleMania of the New Era with none other than the Undertaker's last match? After all, he had been the highlight of 'Manias since he entered the company, having the longest undefeated streak at 21 before losing to Brock Lesnar at 'Mania 30.

That said, the Deadman had been rumored to return over the past few months, with the possibility of him entering the 20th Royal Rumble and beginning his feud for WrestleMania. This final match had been the object of speculation for many fans, with names like John Cena at the top of the list.

Sting is also a consideration, as he reportedly postponed his neck surgery in order to battler the Undertaker for the first and last time at WrestleMania. Even Jeff Hardy—who, with his brother Matt, is ushering in their own New Era in TNA—wants a piece of the Undertaker if the Hardy Boy will return to WWE.

The biggest story so far, however, is the possibility of Kevin Owens battling the Deadman. The 32-year-old has a whole career ahead of him, but he is already at the helm of Raw with the Universal Championship in tow. As the rumor goes, however, the Prizefighter might have to lose his title in order to begin this feud in time for 'Mania.

Owens, meanwhile, is having a welcome run as the top heel of the company. He is currently embroiled in feuds with Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
