WWE Rumors 2016: Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg at WrestleMania 33? Superstars Tease Possible Feud

On one corner is the most dominant force in professional wrestling today. He broke the Undertaker's WrestleMania streak, introduced several superstars to Suplex City, and struck fear into the hearts of many others.

On the opposite end is one of the most beloved wrestlers in WCW and WWE history. He reportedly went 173-0 against WCW competitors and "speared" through the biggest of names in the WWE ring.

While their initial feud did not end well for the WWE Universe, Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg's battle of superpowers may be redeemed soon. With the latter's return rumored to be in the works, it might even occur at the grandest stage of them all.

The beasts collide

Lesnar ruled over the ring for the longest time since his return. He destroyed John Cena, the Undertaker and, most recently, Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2016. That last match ended with Lesnar cutting Orton's head open and the Viper needed 18 staples to patch the wound up.

However, a rematch between the two would not be likely in the near future as Orton got inserted to a feud with Bray Wyatt. This leaves The Beast open to fight anyone the WWE could throw at him.

Enter Goldberg, who had been raring to go against the big guy for the past weeks. There have been rumors surrounding the company regarding his possible return and a confrontation between him and Lesnar received much hype during the promotion of WWE 2K17.

Goldberg himself teased his return to the ring recently, saying he is ready to get rid of past differences with the company. An insider also said that "the wheels are in motion" in terms of talks between him and the WWE.

More importantly, the two had been calling each other out as of late, with Goldberg tearing apart a Lesnar shirt and blows his nose on it. Since the 49-year-old legend is still in tip-top shape, it should not be hard for him to keep up with The Beast. The match is rumored to be held in the grandest stage of them all next year, WrestleMania 33.

More possibilities

If WWE wants Goldberg's run to be extended beyond the Lesnar feud, they have a lot of other options to boot.

Triple H, whom he feuded with during his one-year run with the company over a decade ago, is a good choice. The two reportedly had real-life issues backstage and it would not be the first time WWE played with such altercations in storylines.

John Cena, the biggest name in the company, may also be a good choice. But Goldberg himself said he wants to test the Undertaker in the ring and this might be a good opportunity for both of them to end their careers at a high note.
