Yeezy Boost 350 Release News: 'Pirate Black' Lands Feb. 19

Rapper Kanye West's collaboration with Adidas for his sneaker line called "Yeezy Boost" is a successful one, with the shoes getting sold out as soon as it is released. According to a report on Complex about the Top 10 Sneakers in 2015, in terms of sales, the Yeezy Boost 350 "Pirate Black" has earned over $2.3 million on eBay sales during the 2nd quarter of 2015.

The Yeezy Boost 350 "Pirate Black" is getting another release on February 19, making the best-selling pair of sneakers available once again in the market. The demand for the shoes, however, is quite high and according to a report in GQ, getting a pair is not as easy as going to a retail store and buying it.

According to the report, Kanye West earlier mentioned that only a few big name stores will be carrying the shoes and these are Finish Line, Foot Locker and Champs. No independent or smaller shoe stores or boutiques will be carrying them. In order to get a pair, consumers needed to participate in raffles that the stores set up, which unfortunately have already ended as of February 17.

One other way to get a chance to own a pair was through another raffle by Kicks USA. After, a consumer must download the Adidas Confirmed app on their phone and set their push notifications to on. Reservations for a pair were opened Wednesday at 4 p.m. and closed 20 minutes later, according to another report in Bustle.

As of today, the best way that a consumer can get a hold of a pair is by visiting adidas.com/kanye and wait for the release of the shoes, which according to reports usually happens between 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The shoes will retail on Friday for $200 or €200 per pair, depending on the region. Prices outside of shoe retailers, however, can go up to as much as $300 to $2800, says another Bustle report.
