One of the most popular social media sites in the present day, Twitter made the list for its failure to take down accounts dedicated to promoting commercial sex and failure to listen to victims of sexual exploitation.

“Pedophiles and other predators go to Twitter to trade in criminal content such as child sexual abuse and nonconsensual pornography,” stated NCOSE in their entry about Twitter.

“Twitter fails to adequately respond to its victims, claiming it cannot be held accountable for disseminating illegal material. Twitter has even flatly refused to remove verified child sex abuse material from its site when asked by victims."

In January of 2021, NCOSE sued Twitter on behalf of a teenager who claimed the site refused to remove sexually graphic videos of himself and another minor that were posted by sex traffickers.
