7 country music hit songs that put faith back on the mainstream charts

Brad Paisley's "My Miracle"

Popular country star Brad Paisley has a new single out titled "My Miracle” that references several Christian events but specifically thanks him for one person He created.

"This is the gospel according to me/ A tale of whiskey turned to wine/ Ain't no moving of a mountain/ Ain't no parting of the sea/ But I stand here witness to something just as divine,"  the lyrics, written by Paisley and Gary Nicholson read.

Paisley wrote the single for his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

"I write a lot of songs that can be various looks at relationships, from all angles ... [and] I can be a little bit ornery when it comes to writing love songs. I don't typically put it all out there. But in this one, I did," Paisley told The Boot. "This is the most powerful statement I think I can make, and the one I wrote it for, she's my worst critic, typically, but in this case, I think I got it right."

In the chorus of "My Miracle," the country star admits that he now has faith in God because of his wife.

"My miracle is five foot five / No doubt in my mind, she's the reason I'm alive / And I wasn't always spiritual / Only one thing's for sure / How could I not have faith in the God that created her?"  Paisley sings.
