Jeffress, the pastor of First Baptist Dallas, has from the start of the Trump presidential campaign in 2015, been one of Trump’s most loyal evangelical supporters.

Jeffress called the president’s second State of the Union speech, his “most powerful” yet.

“Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump, on your most powerful speech yet!” Jeffress tweeted. “You demonstrated you are interested in actually governing, while Dems are only interested in obstructing. Thank you for so strongly condemning barbaric practice of late-term abortions.”
