Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the nonpartisan Center for Immigration Studies think tank and research organization that favors less illegal immigration, called the president’s remarks a “pretty good speech.”
In a tweet, Krikorian stated that it was “smart that the wall was the final item [Trump] listed, after plugging legal loopholes, more tech & manpower, etc.”
“[I]n other words, border security is not just about the wall, but the wall is an important part,” he wrote.
