3 times LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt spoke about his faith
2. Referred to mayoral race opponents as ‘demonic entities’
In a May 27 interview with Vanity Fair, Pratt recounted praying just prior to his first debate against Bass and Raman, whom he referred to as “demonic entities.”
“Before the debate, all day long I’m praying to Jesus. I’m on my knees like, ‘God, if you want me to be the mayor, have me destroy these two demonic entities that are representing themselves as city officials,” he told the magazine. “‘And if you don’t want me to be mayor, God, I’ll know right after the debate.’”
He added, “After I walked off that stage, I was like, ‘OK, God, I see you. You want me to be the Mayor of LA.’”
In another interview with Fox News, Pratt said, “I’ve never argued with two lying demons live on TV in a political setting.” He later recalled praying, “‘God, if you want this for me, please just have me destroy them live on TV.’”
