35th Annual Dove Awards Slated for April 28, 2004

The 35th Annual Dove Awards moved to Wednesday, April 28, 2004. The Awards will be held at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville for the second consecutive year.

John W. Styll, the president of the Gospel Music Association, who publicized the change on Tuesday, October 7, also announced the addition of a new Worship Song of the Year category. The show’s hosts, performances, broadcast outlet and sponsors, however, will be announced at a later date.

Tickets to the event will go on sale in December to Gospel Music Association members and to the public in January.

The Dove Awards is the culmination of the annual GMA Week convention, which will be held at various locations in downtown Nashville from April 24-28, 2004.
