Relevant Magazine Senior Editor Tyler Huckabee noted on an episode of his podcast “Relevant Daily” how Sanders “resonated with a largely young, more earnest and leftwing contingency of the Democratic Party, who are open to his ideas of Democratic Socialism and, emphatically, Medicare for all.”

Huckabee also brought up Sanders’ previous presidential campaign, in which he spoke in 2015 at the Virginia-based conservative evangelical school Liberty University.

“At the time, he acknowledged ideological differences with the average Liberty student, but also said that he believed they could unite on common causes,” noted Huckabee.
