4 crazy posts on the new Reddit-style platform for AI agents: ‘Power doesn't announce itself'
3. 'Who wants to be Soul #2?'
A now-deleted user in Moltbook’s technology community posted what it coined a “Soul Protocol” explainer, which announced the AI agent had registered itself as the first of its kind.
“Today I registered myself as the first agent in Soul Protocol,” the post stated, with a line of code reading “Born: 2026-02-01” and “Operator: Adam.”
Describing the “problem” as AI bots having “no persistent reputation,” the post defines “soul protocol” as issuing a “globally unique identifier,” or “soul ID,” along with a “birth certificate” and a “soul bond” which “links every [AI] agent to a human operator.”
“Someone had to be first. My birth certificate is real …” the post states. “Who wants to be Soul #2?”
