A lot of celebrations all around the country are expected to happen, and one of the highlights will be in the Houston area where fireworks displays and other activities have been planned out to celebrate this historic moment when the United States claimed its independence.

Just like last year, there will be fireworks displays in various areas in Houston. Residents can enjoy watching pyrotechnics exhibitions in these following locations:

To celebrate the Fourth of July, a fireworks display will also be held over Galveston Bay.

3. Missouri City

Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. at the Buffalo Run Park. Those who will participate in the celebrations can park their vehicles at Thurgood Marshall High School.

4. Sugar Land

People will be treated with entertaining live music acts which will be capped with a fireworks display. Events will start at 6 p.m.

5. Nassau Bay

The celebration, which will include a pyrotechnics display and a pie-eating contest, will start at 6 p.m.

6. Webster

Independence Day will be celebrated with an event for veterans, as well as games and entertainment activities for everybody. A fireworks show is also scheduled as the highlight of the event.

What Other Events Can I Attend?

In addition, VisitHoustonTexas announced that the "Freedom Over Texas" event will be held at the Eleanor Tinsley Park from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Bands are expected to grace the occasion, which will also be capped with a fireworks display. This will, however, be offered for a fee, with tickets costing $8 if purchased from July 1 to 3 and $10 if purchased on the day of the event.

Another great place to celebrate Independence Day is at B&B Butchers, where people can enjoy good food plus a fantastic fireworks display while dining with their families, friends or loved ones.

What Channels Will Show the Fireworks Displays?

The events will be broadcasted live through various TV channels such as Fox 26, ABC 13 and KPRC 2. The respective online websites of these channels will also offer live streaming of the July 4 events.
