In a collective statement on Wednesday, Wesley and his church expressed solidarity with the Nolan Wells family.

“We stand with the family of Nolan Wells as they seek truth, transparency, and accountability. The color of our skin should never determine the value of our lives, how we are treated, or whether we make it home safely,” the statement said. “Now is the time to speak up. Now is the time to ask questions. Now is the time to demand answers. We are watching. The world is watching. And we will not look away.”
