Cenk Uygur, the host of the progressive online program “The Young Turks,” who is also challenging Biden in the Democratic presidential primary, cited the findings of the report as evidence that the Democrat Party was “gift-wrapping the election to Trump” by continuing to support Biden as the party’s standard-bearer in the presidential election in an X post Thursday. Uygur shared quotes from the document, presenting them as “what Biden’s own DOJ said about him.”
One excerpt of the report highlighted by Uygur included a declaration that Biden “did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended.” Uygur also included questions attributed to Biden featured in the report asking, “if it was 2013 — when did I stop being Vice President” and “in 2009, am I still Vice President?”
After restating a finding from the report that “he did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died,” Uygur concluded, “If you can’t see that this guy is a massive liability for the Democratic Party, you’re trying super hard not to see it. The rest of the country sees it pretty clearly.”
