California megachurch pastor, evangelist and author Greg Laurie took to his Facebook page Thursday to urge supporters to “stand united in prayer for the people of Ukraine.”

“We ask for comfort for those experiencing the events unfolding as Russia has invaded,” the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship based in Riverside, wrote. “Until Christ comes, wars will never cease, but He has equipped us to be fervent in prayer for peace in these times.”

Pray for wisdom from above to be given to politicians and leaders. In Jesus' name, we say, ‘Be still and know God. He is exalted among the nations; He shall be exalted in the earth’ (Psalm 46:10). God be with the people in Ukraine.”
