4. Rep. Al Green: ‘Dastardly’

While most of the pushback to the idea of establishing a Riviera of the Middle East consisted of mere displeasure, Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, took his opposition a step further by introducing articles of impeachment against Trump on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday. In a speech announcing that “the movement to impeach the president has begun,” Green said “ethnic cleansing in Gaza” is “not a joke.”

“I rise to announce that I will bring articles of impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done,” he proclaimed. After expressing his belief that “on some issues, it is better to stand alone than not stand at all,” Green concluded, “On this issue, I stand alone but I stand for justice.”
