Amanda Sheppard Marries Singer Bryan Ferry
Amanda Sheppard, 29, married British singer Bryan Ferry, 66, after a two-year courtship, the U.K. Daily Mail confirmed.
The happy new couple had a beachfront ceremony on January 4th at the Amanyara resort on the island of Turks and Caicos, Daily Mail reported
"The interesting thing is -- and I don't want to say the wrong thing in case I get into trouble with my girlfriend -- you never really meet people your own age who aren't married," the singer, who is known to date younger women, told the Mail Online Sunday magazine last year.
After his first marriage to Lucy Helmore, who was 14 years his junior, ended in 2003, Ferry dated model Jerry Hall, 10 years his junior, and dancer Katie Turner, who was 35 years younger than the singer.
Ferry began dating Sheppard in 2009, after she ended a previous relationship with one of his sons. Sheppard worked in public relations until she reportedly quit her job in 2009 after Ferry offered to support her financially.
"I'm very fortunate that I work in music, where you're in touch with different age groups, either the audience or people you work with. It does help," Ferry told Daily Mail. "Obviously I'm not ageist!"
