It is quite possibly the most famous Christian hymn ever written and quite possibly one of the most famous songs in all of western civilization.

And now it has gone country.

Pop singer and Tennessee native Kelsea Ballerini performed the classic John Newton spiritual at a concert covered by Fox News last summer.

With a guitar aiding the joyful sound, Ballerini performs a, shall we say, amazing rendition of the hymn before a crowd at the All-American Summer Concert.

Posted to YouTube by Fox News last summer, the video of the performance has over 30,000 views and about 100 likes.
