'American Horror Story: Hotel' Episode 4 Recap: Halloween Dinner Party For Serial Killers, Alex Chooses To Become Immortal

The horror anthology series "American Horror Story: Hotel" is in the middle of its season run at FX and the show gets more macabre and horrific as it continues on. Its fourth episode, titled "Devil's Night," is homage to Halloween, the favored occasion of supernatural types.

According to Speakeasy on the Wall Street Journal, last week's episode featured the hotel's special treat during Halloween - a dinner party organized by hotel owner James March. Called "Devil's Night," it assembles the most dastardly kind of killers, serial killers. What is stranger still is that these serial killers who come to the dinner are, in fact, already dead.

John Lowe, the detective who stays at the hotel not only because of a case he is investigating but also as some form of escape from his guilt of neglecting his son, Holden, is able to witness this special dinner party. He also gets to meet notorious real-life serial killers such as Richard Ramirez, Aileen Wuornos, John Wayne Gacy and the Zodiac Killer. His whole dinner experience however was cut short when, while witnessing the guests murder one of the men who joined the party, he fainted and he found himself with Sally in what is now an empty dining area.

In the meantime, Dr. Alex Lowe, John's estranged wife, is overjoyed that she was able to find their missing son, Holden. When she takes him home however, she discovers that he is no longer the little boy they knew. She catches Holden feeding on the family dog confirming that he is a vampire. Alex confronts the Countess, whom Holden considers his "other mommy." The Countess then proposes to the doctor that in order for her to truly be with her son, she must choose to be immortal. In the end, Alex agrees and drinks immortal blood from the Countess.

The horror stories at Hotel Cortez continues this Wednesday on FX.
