Christian band Citizen Way's is in need of help after a fire destroyed their Generosity Rocks sponsored tour bus while at a recent tour stop in Michigan.

Fortunately, everyone on board made it out safely but the bus is a complete loss. This tour bus fire comes just months after Christian rock band Seventh Day Slumber survived a tour bus crash that left their bus in flames as well.

A statement shared with The Christian Post revealed that one of the few items firefighters recovered from the fire was the Bible of Citizen Way’s Ben Calhoun. It was the Bible his father used in seminary and amazingly the “charred black” pages were opened to Ephesians 2 which says, “We are saved by grace through our faith in Jesus.”

The lead singer’s daughter, Ava Calhoun was also traveling with the band and her childhood stuffed animal, Buttons, was recovered from the ashes.

Calhoun’s non-profit, Generosity Rocks, set up a fundraising page to help raise money for the band to keep the band’s ministry traveling on the road.

“Despite this loss, we know God uses all things for good. We also know He has plans for the work of Citizen Way, Generosity Rocks, and YOU! I founded the non-profit Generosity Rocks and am humbled to serve alongside a board that equips bands like us to minister across the country and pour into local communities. We do that not only with the Gospel but by donating 10% of our merchandise sales every night to a local charity, outreach or ministry,” Calhoun shared on the fundraising campaign.

“This mission IS going forward! We need to replace this transportation as part of that mission,” Calhoun added. “Reliable buses can cost up to one million dollars or more. We don’t need anything near that, but it will cost about $250,000 for something sturdy enough to take what constant touring requires….We want to continue bringing this message of hope found in Jesus and generosity to your community soon."
