Supporters of the proposed constitutional amendment defining marriage as between one man and one woman announced the formation of the Arkansas Marriage Amendment Committee in Little Rock, Ark., Wednesday, March 17, 2004. Committee members have already been collecting signatures from voters to put the measure on the November ballot; 80,570 votes are needed by July 2.
