Artist JoJo Seeks a 'Guardian Angel' on New Track

Singer JoJo may have experienced success with her 2006 single “Too Little, Too Late,” however she is now trying to focus her work on deeper thoughts with new track “Guardian Angel”.

The track will most likely be selected to be the lead single from her third studio album Jumping Trains, said to be released this coming Fall.

Growing up in a one-bedroom apartment in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Joanna Levesque, known as JoJo, started mimicking her mother’s singing at age of two.

JoJo’s mother, trained in musical theater and a member of the Catholic Church choir, claimed that JoJo at a young age had a borderline genius IQ.

A young JoJo competed on the show America’s Most Talented Kids, and after appearing on Kids Say the Darnedest Things with Bill Crosby and Destination Stardom, JoJo was asked to perform on The Oprah Winfrey Show as well as appearing on Maury.

Her musical career got more serious in June 2004 when JoJo released her self-titled debut album, selling over 3 million copies worldwide.

Her second album followed in 2006, The High Road, which resulted in her single “Too Little Too Late” reaching number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In November of 2010 JoJo made a cameo appearance in Keri Hilson’s music video for “The Way You Love Me,” and then another cameo appearance in Clinton Spark’s music video for “Favorite DJ” a month later.

JoJo previously explained: “Moving from Boston to L.A., transitioning from being a girl to being a young woman, living on my own, taking a different direction sonically, and just really finding myself and just jumping into a new chapter of life.”

The track “Guardian Angel” indicates her reliance on her relationship with God and her need for guidance, and the new album this fall, Jumping Trains, will hopefully reveal a mark of JoJo’s spiritual maturity.
