Axl Rose Robbed of $200,000 in Jewelry, Rocker Upset

French police say Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose has been robbed of jewelry worth $200K in Paris on Tuesday.

The band's frontman is missing three valuable gold-and diamond necklaces, according to the Associated Press.

A police spokesperson said Wednesday that Rose was robbed following the band's performance at Bercy stadium. The rep added that the lead singer was infuriated by the theft.

Reports Wednesday indicated that in a fit of fury over his losses, Rose caused thousands in damages, according to unconfirmed sources.

Authorities in Paris say an investigation has been launched.

Guns N' Roses is scheduled to appear in Germany on Friday ahead of their return to France as part of a European tour that extends into Israel and runs through July 22.

The robbery is not the first of the band's troubles. The group threatened to leave the stage in Paris on Friday after audience members pelted the stage with items in anger over the band's late concert start.

Rose is the group's only remaining original member. The 50-year-old recently refused an opportunity to appear alongside the classic line up of the group, including Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradin, and Steven Adler, when Guns N' Roses was inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio.

"Since the announcement of the nomination we've actively sought out a solution to what, with all things considered, appears to be a no-win [situation], at least for me," wrote Rose in an open letter ahead of the Hall of Fame event. "'Damned if I do, damned if I don't' scenario all around."

Guns N' Roses have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. The group is best known for their number one hit, "Sweet Child o' Mine," as well as other hits such as "Paradise City" and "Patience."
