'Bates Motel' season 4 news, spoilers: Norma and Dylan's new predicament

The upcoming season of "Bates Motel" is expecting a new threat for the Bates Family.

It was announced that Chick will be returning to White Pines Bay during season 4. According to TV Line, Kerry Ehrin shared details, revealing that some cast members from season 1 will be coming back to the series.

Chick's appearance is expected to cause trouble for Dylan. His character was last seen promising Caleb and Dylan money if they perform a task for him. However, problems arose when they go to meet him. They were met by Chick's partners who thought that he backed out of the deal, thus deciding to hold back the guns and attempting to shoot Dylan.

The two escaped with Caleb's spare guns with nothing but injuries. With that, Caleb tried to get compensation from Chick, who refused and pulled out a gun. Caleb then fights him and runs away with the money.
There are speculations that Chick will threaten Dylan by putting Emma's fate in jeopardy, if the money is not returned.

Season 4 will reveal the aftermath of their actions, now that Chick is expected to return. While fans wait for the return, the series launched an interactive site that allows for viewing of the rooms in the Bates Motel.

Bates Motel season 4 will also explore the story of Norman, portraying him as a psychopath. It was revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Norma tries to find a cure for Norman's condition. Executive producer Ehrin and co-producer Carlton Cuse stated that Norma will become stronger, which will help her find a cure for his sickness. Ehrin said, "He [Norman Bates] has this whole warped, psychosexual, frustrated, messed-up psychology with his mother, which also feeds into it." Meanwhile, her relationship with sheriff Romero will also be a focus for the season. However, they will be facing challenges throughout season 4.
