'Batman V Superman' Cast: Another Justice League Superhero Appearing in 'Dawn of Justice'

The latest trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" revealed the film's surprise villain, Doomsday, and unveiled the superhero Holy Trinity of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman working together against a common foe for the first time on the big screen. Aquaman and Cyborg have also been confirmed to be in the upcoming film, which means that fans will be seeing at least five out of seven Justice League heroes. Now, it appears that the DC Universe is about to get a little bit more crowded as it was revealed that another DC hero will be in the film, upping the tally to six.

Speaking to Omelete (via CBM), "Batman v Superman" costume designer Michael Wilkinson let slip that viewers will be seeing The Flash in the 2016 film. When asked about how he intends to render The Flash's costume for the big screen, he answered:

"I'm not really at the liberty to talk about The Flash right now, but it's something that you'll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in Batman v Superman. But I'm really looking forward to taking the amazing, iconic costume for The Flash and interpreting it in a fresh way where Ezra Miller is playing The Flash. He's an extraordinary performer, he has a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that will be great for Barry Allen and I think he's going to make a great Flash."

While rumors have been circulating for months now regarding a Flash cameo in "Batman v Superman," this statement from a member of the film's design team seems to confirm that The Flash/Barry Allen will indeed join his Justice League pals Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) in the superhero clash film. Last year, Warner Bros. confirmed that "Perks of Being a Wallflower" actor Ezra Miller will play The Flash in his stand-alone film, which is set to be released in 2018.

"Batman v Superman" is scheduled to hit North American theaters on March 25, 2016.
