'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' News: 'We're Getting Ready to Wrap Up,' Says Director Zack Snyder

Year 2016 is still a long wait for the DC Comics superhero fans but that won't stop them from rummaging new information about the upcoming film, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Here's what we heard so far.

Earlier this week, director Zack Snyder called the Stoney and Bill morning show on 97.1, The Ticket, to say that the project is now close to wrapping up, Inquistr reported.

The media outlet reported that during the interview, the "Watchmen" directed discussed about the future of the superhero franchise in the DC Universe, which as already reported, will release nine movies (his BVS:DOJ will be the start).

After thanking the Detroit people for the support they've given for the mega production, Snyder said they're almost done shooting.

"We're getting ready to wrap it up and take off and I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for being strong supporters of the movie and coming down and saying hey, and just, I've had a great time in Michigan, I just wanted to say thanks to you guys and just to Detroit itself," he said.

"I've had a really great time, everyone's been amazing, the local actors and stuff that we put in the movie have been amazing. I've never been around such great day players," the 48-year-old director continued.

Showing support for the Detroit people, Snyder further said that the studio might return to the Motor City for the filming of "Justice League."

"I feel like there's a really good chance we're going to be back," he said, pointing out to the already "established locations in Detroit."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will feature the acts of Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman, among others.
